GOOD HOMES NEEDED FOR PETS
OWNER MOVING TO ASSISTED LIVING
Our company is selling a consignment of real estate and personal property in Ramona, Ok and the owner, Mrs Morley, is moving into an assisted living facility; Unfortunately, she is only able to take one pet with her. Since the facility only allows pets with a maximum weight of 11lbs, Mrs Morley is being forced to abandon her 4 dogs who have been her loving companions for several years.
We are contacting everyone we know in an effort to save these special pets from euthanization and find them loving homes and loving owners who can take the place of the original owner. Claire Glossop will be screening all potential owners to make sure that the dogs they are interested in will be in good hands. The screening will make sure that the potential owners have the right environment for the pets; that the pets will be kept on heart worm, tick and flea preventative and other necessary medications; that the pet is compatible with the potential owner's other pets, etc. These are all special animals that have been well kept and well loved -- and we just want to make sure that they will be going into a comparable or better environment than the one they are used to (We have all of them on craigslist, but it is a known fact that horrible people on craigslist adopt loving animals and then sell them for pit bull bait or medical research....so we're being extra careful!). It would be great if all these dogs could all stay together, but we understand that this is probably not going to be possible. We introduced all of these dogs to our little brown dog, Pecan, and they exhibited no signs of aggression -- they just started playing with each other within seconds of the initial introduction. They are all sweet babies, but if you have other pets, please make sure that they meet each other prior to the adoption. Also, none of these dogs have been raised with children and they tend to chase Mrs Morley's cat a bit, so please bear this in mind....they might do great with cats and children, but use a little caution when considering them for adoption (especially with the cats!). We've spent some time with all of these dogs and they are all very gentle and fun animals!
With all this said, let's get on to introducing you to the guys that need homes!
The first dog is "Diesel." Diesel is a neutered, black & tan long-haired male Chihuahua that is feisty, but sweet. Diesel is about 6-8 years in age and has many years left to go! Diesel is an indoor dog and will be a great companion to anyone who will love him and take care of him. He will alert you to strangers and is protective of his territory, but he is also quite friendly with other dogs. Diesel was rescued from abandonment and euthanization by Mrs Morley and has been a loyal companion ever since. Diesel has a tendency to be quick on the draw when it comes to running out doors and open fence gates, so he needs a little attention in these matters. He is also a small dog, so he may dig under fences if given the chance.
The second dog is "Rowdy." Rowdy is a neutered male beagle that is the owner's favorite little friend. Rowdy is about 6-8 years in age, is an indoor dog and is very sweet. Rowdy was abused and abandoned in his earlier years. Mrs Morley found him after he was attacked by coyotes. Mrs Morley had his wounds treated and nursed him back to health; he's been a loyal friend ever since. Rowdy will also alert you to strangers and is protective of his territory, but he is also quite friendly with other dogs. Since he has been abused in his early years he is a little shy at first, but it doesn't take him long to warm up to a friendly person (it took him about 5 minutes with us!). Rowdy has a tendency to be quick on the draw when it comes to running out doors and open fence gates, so he needs a little attention in these matters.

The third dog is "Buddy." Buddy is a neutered, black lab / collie mix that is extremely loyal and sweet. Buddy is also an indoor dog and is about 4-5 years old. Buddy was also rescued from abandonment and euthanization by Mrs Morley and he needs someone's help once again. It doesn't take long for Buddy to warm up to anyone. He loves playing with other dogs and people too. Buddy is smart and can scale and dig under fences if he's left alone too long and he tends to dart out front doors and fence gates if you're not watching him too closely....so he needs a little attention when left alone. Buddy also alerts you to the fact if strangers come near the home, but he's not a vicious dog by any means.

Last, but not least, is Hansie / Hans. Hans is a fantastic dog with lots of character! Hans is an un-neutered male with hound-like traits (long legs, nose and body) and a brindle coat. Hans was abused, abandoned and left to starve prior to Mrs Morley rescuing him. Mrs Morley took him in, fed him and gave him a warm garage to sleep in during the winter. Hans is an outdoor dog and would make a great ranch dog. Hans is street smart and prowls around the neighborhood. Hans even goes into the fields and keeps the coyotes away from Mrs Morley's property and the other dogs. Hans was great with our little dog and loves to play with Buddy (this is mostly why Buddy digs under the fence and darts out doors!). Hans is still a little skinny since he was rescued and probably needs a little check up from the vet, but he will make somebody a fantastic pet. Hans has never been on a leash, so he'll take some training, but he didn't growl a bit when we tried putting him on a leash (he just rolled over for a belly rub!) Hans doesn't like fences and has never been an indoor dog, so he mostly hangs outside and runs around the neighborhood greeting all the other dogs on the block. Hans really is a sweet dog and would make someone a great ranch hand!
So, that's the story! If you need one or more good friends to keep you company, here are some guys that will treat you right! If you would like pictures of one or all of these dogs, please do not hesitate to contact us. Mrs Morley is moving by the end of June, so a decision must be made quickly in regards to these dogs; adoptions.
